Project Identity Theft

Do you have outdated or confidential records that you’d like to dispose of safely for FREE?

The Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the Clay County Commissioners, are hosting “Project Identify Theft” this Saturday, June 27th from 9am to noon in the parking lot at Mill and Missouri Street in Liberty next to the Clay County Courthouse.

A “Shred-It” truck will be on site to dispose of old medical, tax or any record with personal identifying information. We ask that each participant limit themselves to 3 boxes of records (Banker sized boxes). Come take advantage of this event to prevent identity theft!
